Mercersburg defeated visiting Highland School (Warrenton, VA) 190-203 in a boys' golf match played at the Chambersburg Country Club April 17.

Head coach Doug Smith described the conditions as "Scottish weather; It was windy and it was cold but we were golfing." Stewart Allan '27 led the way for the Storm with a 45 followed by Matthew Gu '27 with a 46. Cameron Gierasch '26 (49) and AJ Patel '26 (51) completed the scoring.

"Super tough day on the links," added Smith. "Just keeping your focus and executing clean shots was difficult. Stu and Matthew had to really be on their games to keep their scores respectable and for 10th graders I really appreciate their effort and ability to maintain composure. Hopefully the weather is behind us and we can get some smooth sailing from here on out."

Mercersburg will next compete at the Peddie "Swing into Cancer" event on Saturday, April 26 at 1 pm.
