Boys' V Lacrosse Falls to John Handley

John Handley high school (Winchester, VA) defeated Mercersburg 11-4 in a boys' varsity lacrosse game played on the turf at Regents' Field April 2.

Frank Bonsal '25 scored three of the four goals for the Storm with Will Donovan '25 collecting the fourth. Donovan and Dylan Ridgway '26 each had one assist. Taimur Rehman '25 stopped 17 shots on goal to lead the defensive effort. Head coach Tim Kerr commented, "The defense played fantastic, forcing many outside shots, which gave Taimur the opportunity to see the ball and make the save. We made Handley give up possession at the end of the shot clock on five occasions."

Kerr continued, "This game was a step in the right direction. We had two focused days of practice after a disappointing effort against Pennington and the guys responded well. We will continue to work on the areas that need fine tuning and work to improve with each outing."

The next test for Mercersburg will be on the road at Blair Academy (Blairstown, NJ) on Saturday, April 5 for a game beginning at 3 pm.
