Boys' V Squash Runners-Up in MAPL Tournament

Host Lawrenceville defeated Mercersburg 5-2 in the championship match of the Mid-Atlantic Prep League boys' squash tournament February 19.

The Storm knocked off Blair 6-1 in the semifinals, but could not get past the Big Red in the title contest. The loss ended Mercersburg's incredible 20-game winning streak that included a win over Lawrenceville back on January 22. Noe Aceves '25 and Rayyan Khan '27 each won both of their matches.

Head coach Dominic Benacquista commented, "With MAPLs behind them, the team now shifts focus to nationals—where the boys will compete in Division I for just the second time ever. They’re ready to put forth a strong performance on the big stage."

The boys will travel to Philadelphia to compete in that national tournament--The U.S. High School Team Championships--at the Arlen Specter Center from February 21-23.
