Mercersburg defeated visiting Kiski School (Saltsburg, PA) 7-0 in a boys' varsity tennis match April 23.

The Storm took all six singles matchups as well as an exhibition match at #7 with Max Zhang '26 (#1) Simon Brennan '26 (#2), Daniel Liu '25 (#4), Dylan Melius '27 (#5), Gaven McGuire '26 (#6), and Philipp Hoyer '26 (#7) all winning in straight sets. Michael Zhang '26 had to fight back after losing the first set in the #3 contest, but he took the second set 6-3 and won the match tiebreak 10-7 to secure the point. Zhang and Brennan (#1) and McGuire and Melius (#3) won their doubles matches to give the Storm that point as they took two out of three.

Mercersburg also swept the JV contest 5-0 with Eric Cabezas '27, Daniel Cunningham '26, and Gregor Boerstler '27 winning singles matchups while the doubles teams of Ani Spitzer '27/Jerry Sun '27 and Brodie Dann '28/Thaddeus Lee '25 also prevailed.

Mercersburg will jump right back into action with another home match on Thursday, April 24 against Washington high school (Charles Town, WV) at 5 pm.
