Mercersburg defeated Madeira 3-0 in a varsity field hockey game played on Regents' Field September 17 as part of the M Cup competition.

After a scoreless first half that featured some tremendous saves from both goalies (including Mercersburg's Zareena Sorho '23), Lexi Chepren '26 put the Blue Storm on the board with about five minutes to play in the third period. Cam Dotson '23 scored twice in the fourth quarter to give the Blue Storm the 3-0 victory.

"The class of '23 really showed up today," said head coach Grace Megaffin, "as Cam had some great finishes and both Sorho sisters came up with big defensive stops. It was a very physical battle for the M Cup."

The Blue Storm (2-1) visits Foxcroft School (Middleburg, VA) on Wednesday, September 21 for a 4 p.m. contest.
