Foxcroft School (Middleburg, VA) defeated the visiting Mercersburg varsity field hockey team 2-1 September 21, snapping the Blue Storm's two-game winning streak.

Mercersburg was short-handed due to sickness and injury, but "the players who showed up came to play," said head coach Grace Megaffin.  Hailey Chepren '23 along with Zareen '23 and Zareena Sorho '23 played hard, and Lexi Chepren '26 scored the lone goal, her third of the season. Coach Megaffin added "It was a 2-1 loss on the scoreboard, but a win in spirit."

Mercersburg (2-2) hosts the Hun School of Princeton, NJ on Saturday, September 24 at 1 p.m. in its first MAPL game of the season.
