Despite strong play from Captain Abby Yang '25, the Storm girls' golf team was edged out by Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart (Bethesda, MD) in a match played at Musket Ridge Golf Club of Myersville, MD April 9.

"Abby is in the best form of in her four year career at Mercersburg," said head coach Doug Smith. "Through solid ball striking and tight putting she carved out a nice 43 while Kelsey Li '26 shot a respectable 47." Amanda Xi '25 and Jessica Dang played well to round out the scoring for the Storm.

"We are still trying to all get it going at the same time," added Smith. "When our ball striking is good our putting lets us down a bit. We are on the verge of high quality golf and I believe in this team and hope we will put it all together for the bigger events that are still to come."

After a two-week layoff, Mercersburg will tee it up against McDonough School (Owings, Mill, MD) on Wednesday, April 23 at 3:15 pm.
