Girls' V Lacrosse Falls to National Cathedral School

National Cathedral School (Washington, DC) defeated the visiting Storm 16-5 in a girls' varsity lacrosse game April 17.

Sarah Howley '26 and Alishya Thurmond '26 scored twice each to lead the offense with Chloe Allis '25 picking up the other goal. Howley, Hana Vogtman '27, and Sammi Chepren '27 had one assist apiece. Lilah Weisberg '25 stopped five shots during her time in goal and Piper Mathias '26 collected two saves as well.

"We continue to improve and have bright spots," said head coach Kristin Ahlgren, "and the hustle is there. We are building our lacrosse IQ and fighting hard against our opponents. We will get there! I’m really excited about the grit our newer players are showing. Ellie Stine '27 and Liza Hoa '27, who both just learned how to play lacrosse last year, are making strong contributions on defense!"

Mercersburg will host the Hun School of Princeton in a MAPL contest on Saturday, April 19 at 1 pm.
