Girls' V Lacrosse Falls to Peddie in OT

Mercersburg lost a heartbreaker 11-10 in overtime to visiting Peddie (Hightstown, NJ) in the final regular season game for the girls' varsity lacrosse team.

The teams were tied at 3 after one quarter, Peddie led 5-4 at half and the Storm were up 8-7 after three in the epic back and forth. Alishya Thurmond '26 had a huge game, scoring 5 goals and securing 4 draw controls while Sarah Howley '26 had 3 goals and 2 draw controls. Sammi Chepren '27 scored one goal and had two assists, Jocelyn Schweitzer '28 scored a goal, and Hana Vogtman '27 chipped in one assist.

The four seniors finished their careers on a high note for Mercersburg as captain Lilah Weisberg '25 had 13 saves in goal--an outstanding effort!, captain Chloe Allis '25 had one assist on the day, Guadalupe Sanchez Ramos '25 played tough defense, and injured reserve captain Emma Diianni '25 was able to start this final game on the field, getting one last moment in her Mercersburg uniform.

The season is now complete for the Storm, who won two MAPL games this year and would have finished 3-3 in league play if they could have pulled this one out.
