Mercersburg pulled out a 10-8 victory over visiting Pennington (NJ) in a Mid-Atlantic Prep League girls' varsity lacrosse game March 29.

The teams were tied up at the end of each of the first three quarters, but the Storm gained the upper hand and outscored the Red Hawks 5-3 in the final period. Piper Mathias '26 (six saves) and Lilah Weisberg '25 (four saves) split time in net while Sarah Howley '26 led the offense with five goals. Alishya Thurmond '26 scored three times and also picked up an assist and nine crucial draw controls. Chloe Allis '25 and Hana Vogtman '27 scored the other two goals and for Vogtman, it was her first Mercersburg Varsity Lacrosse goal. Logan Pixler '26 added an assist.

Head coach Kristin Ahlgren commented, "Out hustle helped us outlast them in the final quarter on a hot day--very proud of the team!"

Mercersburg (1-1) hosts Perkiomen (Pennsburg, PA) on Tuesday, April 1 at 4 pm.
