Mercersburg defeated visiting Saint James 7-1 in the final regular season girls' varsity soccer game October 31.

Jamie Vulakh '24 got things rolling with a nifty goal after a scramble in front of the net just two minutes into the game. Madison Goodhart '24, Delia McCabe '25, and Paloma Casariego Cerdeira '24 all scored in the first half to give the Blue Storm a 4-0 lead at the break. Goodhart and Casariego each added second goals in the second half and Nina McDowell '25 also scored once. The Saints broke through and scored with less than a minute remaining to end the shutout. Mercersburg dominated the entire way, outshooting Saint James 29-1 and holding an 8-0 advantage in corner kicks.

The Blue Storm ends the regular season with a 7-7-3 record and prepares to host Cristo Rey high school (Philadelphia) in the first round of the PAISAA state tournament on Wednesday, November 1 at 3:30 pm.
