Mercersburg's Kamran Gwadry '27 finished third in the 2025 Assante Wealth Management Ontario Junior Open, an important Canadian National Junior Championship tournament held at Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario the weekend of April 4-6.

Gwadry cruised through the early rounds and advanced to the semifinal against the #2 seed. The players split the first two games before Gwadry fell by a 3-1 score.

“Overall, reaching the semifinals was a good result," said head coach Dominic Benacquista, "with some positive feedback coming from Kam. Hopefully, he sees this as a big step forward ahead of Canadian Nationals in a few weeks.”
