Indoor Track Team Competes at State Meet

The Storm girls' indoor track & field team finished sixth while the boys' team ended up eleventh at the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association state meet at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) February 16.

The biggest highlight of the day was when Ryan Du Plessis '25 set a new school record by running a lifetime best 48.8 to win the boys' 400 meter run. Other top performances for the boys included Iman Zhakan '26 running a Personal Record 2:02.78 in the 800 meter run to climb into second place on the school's all-time top ten list and Germany Johnson '25 running a PR in both the 60 meter and 200 meter sprints.

For the girls' team, Bella Levina '25 had a great all around day taking second in the triple jump, third in the 60 meter hurdles and third in the pole vault. Also for the girls, Ella Blanco '26 ran 2:25.21 in the 800 meters to claim the second spot on the school's all-time top ten list while Mary Grady '25 and Kam Jenkins '26 each threw PR's in the shot put.
