Martinsburg Tops Boys' Varsity Lacrosse

A short-handed Blue Storm boys' varsity lacrosse team travelled to Martinsburg (WV) high school April 26 and fell to the Bulldogs by a score of 16-6.

Only seventeen players made the trip, and a second quarter injury dropped the number of offensive players down to five. The team showed resilience and fought through the adversity with Frank Cantera '23 scoring four of the six goals and Sam Wallace '23 and Reed Warner '23 contributing one each. Davis Noone '23 picked up an assist and Chris LaBolle '23 once again led the team with nine ground balls. Taimur Rehman '25 made his first start in goal and did a great job, collecting ten saves in three quarters of work. Thomas Zhu '26 was one of the stars of the day, winning eleven face-offs and playing hard on both ends of the field.

Mercersburg (1-7) visits John Handley high school (Winchester, VA) on Saturday, April 29 for a 2:30 pm contest.
