Mercersburg defeated host Peddie 6-1 and 16-2 in a MAPL doubleheader April 20.

Five runs in the first inning put the Storm in control of game one. Adi Rinker '27 led the way with three hits and pitcher Quin Caretti '24 drove in two runs. Game two once again began with a big first inning as Mercersburg exploded for thirteen runs to take a huge lead. Jaz Garnett '27 hit a three-run homer and drove in five runs overall while Kam Jenkins '26 collected three hits and two RBI. Garnett, Alli Caretti '26, Ava Guzic '25, and Pritz Pritzker '25 had two hits each with Pritzker adding four RBI. Quin Caretti pitched both games giving up just two earned runs.

The win was the third straight for the Storm and improved their record to 6-5 overall, 4-2 MAPL. Next up is a game at Perkiomen (Pennsburg, PA) on Wednesday, April 24 at 4:30 pm.
