Mercersburg defeated visiting Shipley (Bryn Mawr, PA) 3-1 in the first round of the Pennsylvania Independent School Athletics Association volleyball tournament October 27.

The seventh-seeded Blue Storm played well up and down the lineup in their victory over the #10 Gators. Kam Jenkins '26 had a 100% serve percentage and delivered five aces while Jaz Garnett '27 had eleven aces and eight kills. Alli Caretti '26 led the team with eleven kills with Emily Jiang '24 and Mary Grady '25 contributing six each and Rayna Allen '27 adding four. Along the back line, Alyssa Lee '25 came up with sixteen digs and Lena Wilke '27 had a very strong passing night.

Mercersburg (9-8 overall) plays at #2 Perkiomen (Pennsburg, PA) on Wednesday, November 1 at 4 pm.
