Gavin Williams '25 singled in Drew Wishard '27 with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh as Mercersburg defeated visiting Broadfording Christian Academy 7-6 in a varsity baseball game April 30.

Williams and Nick Rosenberry '28 hit RBI doubles in the sixth inning as the Storm broke open a tie game and took a 6-2 lead. But the Lions tied it back up with four in the top of the seventh before Williams and Wishard combined for the winning run. Williams had two hits and drove in four of the seven runs while Wishard had two hits and scored twice and leadoff hitter Ethan Shirk '27 drew two walks and scored two runs. Shirk also pitched five strong innings, giving up no earned runs.

Mercersburg plays a doubleheader at Lawrenceville on Saturday, May 3 beginning at 1 pm.
